"To conduct quality atmospheric management programs throughout the state of North Dakota, and be the national leader in the application of cloud modification technology."
Vision Statement
Cloud Seeding Has Big Economic Impact in Western ND
A recent study by Dean Bangsund and Dr. Larry Leistritz at North Dakota State University shows the North Dakota Cloud Modification Project is providing a major impact to the western ND agricultural economy. Click here to read a summary of the report findings.
ARB Recruiting Observers to Report Precipitation
We are recruiting volunteers to observe and report precipitation across North Dakota. Volunteers have the choice of participating in the ARB Cooperative Observer Network (ARBCON), which reports from April-September each year, or a new network called the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow Network, dubbed CoCoRaHS, which reports year-round. If you have any interest in either program, contact Dan Brothers at (701) 328-2788, or via email at dabrothers@nd.gov and indicate which network you are interested in joining.
